Description
This is a barn located about 80 meters east-southeast of Falcon's Hall, dating from the early to mid-17th century. It has a timber frame that is weatherboarded and rendered, topped with a steeply pitched corrugated sheet roof. The barn consists of five bays, with the central bay serving as a cart entrance, and there are opposing two-bay gabled midstrey sections.
On the front left, there is a 19th-century brick outshut with a pantiled hipped roof. The right end and rear feature a 19th-century brick lean-to outshut that includes a door and a hatch, also with a hipped pantiled roof. The rear right has two open bays, while the rear left has a clay lump gabled outshut.
Inside, the barn displays close studding made of fairly small scantling, with arched braces in the walling that are halved inside the studs, and jowled posts. The arched braces to the tie beams have been replaced. The roof structure consists of double butt purlins with collars to the principals and some windbraces to the upper purlins. An inserted floor is also present.
