Description
No. 8 Henley Road is a house built around 1875, constructed of red brick and topped with machine-tiled roofs. It has a T-shaped plan and is two storeys tall. The entrance front faces west and features a gable on the left side. The central entrance door is made up of four panels, with the upper two being glazed, and is topped by a 4-centred arch with a plain overlight.
To the right, there is a square single-storey bay that includes a 2/2 horned sash window and a pierced balustrade, which is an addition. On the left, there is a single-storey canted window bay that also features 2/2 horned sashes and a pierced balustrade, another addition. Above the entrance door is a small window, and there is a 6/6 unhorned sash window in the left gable head. The house has a saw-toothed eaves cornice and gabled roofs that support twin and triple-flued brick stacks. The south return has two flat projecting bays fitted with French windows.
Inside, the house features simple marble fireplaces and panelled doors.
