Description
Pond Farmhouse is a farmhouse with a 16th-century core that was largely rebuilt in the 18th and 19th centuries. Originally timber framed, it is now constructed of red brick and has a roof covered with double Roman tiles. The building has two storeys and a three-cell layout, featuring four windows, mostly 19th-century casements set under segmental arches. The entrance has a six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, and there is a 20th-century enclosed lean-to porch. There is an internal stack and a gable stack on the right side. The gable ends have 18th-century parapets with tumbling. Although the interior has been largely modernised, there are some remnants of early work, including plain joisting in the hall and a fragmentary queen post roof.
