Description

The Old Rectory is a house, originally the rectory, dating from 1831. A slightly later addition is set back to the left. The building is constructed of red brick with pilaster strips defining the quoins, and has a hipped roof covered in concrete pantiles. It is two storeys high, with three windows, which are inset sash windows with glazing bars, each set beneath a flat brick arch. A later, stuccoed porch has flanking pilasters, an entablature and a flat roof; the doorway and side openings feature semi-circular arches with key stones, and contain a mid-20th century panelled door. Behind the porch is a 19th-century four-panel door, set within panelled reveals. A two-bay addition is present to the left, with one bay featuring blank panels.
