Description

Church House is a house incorporating an earlier structure with an attached stable and loft. The rear wing dates to the mid-18th century and was incorporated into a house built at the front in the early 19th century. The original section is of flint and brick with a pantiled roof, while the front house is of brick with a slate roof and brick end stacks. The stable loft is weatherboarded.

The front elevation is a two-storey, three-window design. A central six-panel door is set beneath a five-paned fanlight. The windows are unhorned sashes with 6/6 glazing bars, each set within a gauged skewback arch. A two-storey cross wing to the rear has a casement window on each floor. The rear wing, also two-storey, has irregularly disposed windows: two 2-light ground-floor casements and one 3/3 first-floor sash. A stack is on the wall plane. The stable has a hay loft above. The interior was not inspected.
