Description

Holly Lodge is an early 19th-century house with later 19th and 20th-century extensions, located on the High Street in Saxmundham. The house is constructed of gault brick with red brick detailing, and has pantiled roofs. A brick ridge stack is located centrally, with end stacks to the left extension and on the front roof slope of the right extension.

The central two-story block with an attic is two bays wide, and is flanked by a late 19th-century two-story, single-window extension to the left, and a single-story extension to the right. A 20th-century single-story extension with a flat roof has been added to both the central and right blocks. The main elevation, facing the street, displays a gable end with corner and central pilaster strips framing two first-floor windows that have imitation glazing bars. An attic window with glazing bars is set into the gable head. The extension to the left features one 3/6 sash window on each floor. A doorway is located in the left extension, and the central block has Crittall windows. The interior of the house has not been inspected.
