Description

Moat Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, featuring an L-shaped plan. It is timber framed and plastered, with the west wing having a brick gable end and a plaintiled roof. The north wing has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range consisting of two-light and three-light casements that do not have glazing bars. The doorway is asymmetrical and has a four-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed. There is an internal stack with saw tooth brickwork. The west wing also has two storeys, a brick gable end with twin blank panels below the eaves level on each side, and two square panels above. It features a gable end stack and a timber framed lean-to extension to the west. The farmhouse is situated on a moated site.
