Description

The White House is an early 19th-century building, originally a police station, now a private dwelling. The left-hand bay was likely added later. It is constructed of painted brick with a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high and has a four-window front. The windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set within cased frames, and are topped with flat brick arches. There are two doorways, each featuring a six-panel fielded door with a reeded architrave and roundels, and a semi-circular wooden panel above with curved tracery resembling glazing bars.
