Description
Grove Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, featuring a T-shaped plan. It is timber framed with modern roughcast render and has an original red brick gable end on the rear wing, topped with a pantiled roof. The building stands two storeys high with an attic and has a three-window range, which includes mid-20th century large pane casements. There are two doorways: a boarded door on the left side and a mid-20th century glazed door on the right side. A tall internal stack with a moulded base and a gable end stack on the rear wing are notable features. The gable of the rear wing has a pair of blocked square windows at first floor level, each with square hood moulds above, and a similar pair of blocked windows at attic level with moulded brick bands above. The lower part of the gable is obscured by a later extension.
