Description
Hill House Farmhouse is a Grade II listed farmhouse consisting of two parallel ranges, with the rear dating from the 17th century and the front from the early 19th century. The rear range is timber framed, plastered, and has a pantiled roof. It is two storeys tall with an attic and features scattered fenestration, primarily consisting of 20th-century casements, including one three-light casement with leaded panes on the south-east gable. There is an internal stack present.
The front range is constructed of painted brick and has a slated roof. It is also two storeys high and features a symmetrical front with a two-window range. The windows are sashes with glazing bars set in cased frames and have segmental arches above them. The central doorway has a four-panel door topped with a rectangular fanlight that includes ornamental iron glazing bars. Fluted pilasters and a cornice on console brackets frame the entrance.
