Description

The Dallinghoo War Memorial is a stone structure approximately 2 meters tall, located in the south-east corner of the churchyard near the Church of St Mary, which is listed as Grade II*, and its lychgate, which is listed as Grade II. The memorial features a plain carved wheel-head cross with a tapering shaft, set on a tapering plinth that has a single-stepped base.

The main dedicatory inscription reads: "IN GRATEFUL REMEMBRANCE OF MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO DIED FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN THE EUROPEAN WAR 1914-1919," and it lists 11 names.
