Description
The lychgate to the churchyard, built around 1887, is a timber-framed structure with a base made of knapped flint and ashlar, topped with a plain tile roof. It features central square posts on either side, supported by an X-shaped arrangement of braces that overlap the posts. The hipped roof is secured with ties and collars, and there are a pair of wooden gates attached to the central piers. The plinth has an ashlar coping with incised inscriptions; on the west side, it reads: "THIS LYCHGATE WAS ERECTED BY/THE PARISHIONERS AND THEIR FRIENDS," while the eastern face states: "AS A MEMORIAL OF THE JUBILEE/OF QUEEN VICTORIA."
