Description

This is a group of houses located on Daphne Road, Orford, dating from the late 19th century. They are constructed of red brick with plain tiled, half-hipped roofs. The buildings are partly two storeys high and partly with attics. Applied timber framing is present on a pebble-dash background. Upper floor windows feature pointed arches, while ground floor windows have mullions and transoms, all with casements and glazing bars. Gabled porches are present, featuring plain tiles, an elaborate tympanum, and decorative posts. A band of gault brick runs along the facade, and the chimneys are constructed of moulded brick. The houses are included in the listing for their group value.
