Description

Brunswick Farmhouse is a timber-framed farmhouse dating to the late 16th and early 17th centuries, with later additions including a 19th-century wing to the rear. The front facade is timber-framed and plastered, with a colourwashed brick bay and gable end. The roof is covered in plain tiles to the front and pantiles to the rear. The house is two storeys and has an attic. It comprises a single long range with a four-window front. The windows are mullion and transom casements with hood moulds. A lobby entrance has a gabled porch, a four-panel fielded door and a rectangular fanlight. Two further doorways have mid-20th-century glazed doors, the central one with a Regency-style swept-roof porch supported by timber posts. There is one gabled dormer window. Internal and gable end stacks provide ventilation.
