Description
The Martello Tower, located at the south end of the golf links, dates from around 1810 to 1812. It is constructed of gault brick with cement rendering and stone dressings. This round tower features a flat roof and is divided into three stages. The west doorway leads to the middle stage, and there are loop openings that are accented with stone quoins and keystones. Additionally, there is a tunnel entrance on the west side. This structure is identified as Martello tower number 7.
