Description
Wood Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with the service wing likely added later. It features a timber frame that is plastered and has a pantiled roof. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has a two-cell plan with a service wing at the rear. There are two windows that are 18th to 19th century three-light mullion and transom casements. The central doorway has a six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, and is sheltered by an open gabled porch supported by octagonal posts. Inside, there is a central internal stack with two courses of moulded brickwork. Most of the framing is concealed, and there is a renewed newel staircase and a ground floor fireplace with a stone surround.
