Description

A pair of cottages, likely originally a single house, dating probably from the 17th or 18th century. The cottages are timber framed with a colourwashed render and a thatched roof. They are two storeys high. The front facing the road has a doorway on the right and two doorways on the left, suggesting an original three-cell plan. Three-light casement windows, likely from the 19th or 20th century, are positioned at the far right and left, with another similar window near the centre. The first floor has two three-light casement windows near the centre and to the right, and a two-light casement on the far left. A lean-to extends from the ground floor of the left-hand gable end. A two-flue stack has been rebuilt at the ridge towards the right of centre, and a single-flue stack is present on the left-hand gable end. The right-hand gable end is blank except for decorative roofing at the point where the walling meets the gable.
