Description

WESTON LONDON ROAD TM 48 NW 5/51 Barn 50m north north east - of Weston Hall GV II Barn. C16 core, with considerable later rebuilding. Timber-framed and weatherboarded. The roof is partly thatched and partly clad in corrugated iron. A somewhat complex and altered structure in 7 bays, apparently in 3 phases, with joins between bays 1-2, and 3-4, counting from the west. Bays 1- 3 are partitioned off and floored over, the structure being concealed on the ground floor; bay 7 is also partitioned off. There are 3 queen post roof trusses, not all in the same section; the remainder of the roof is largely rebuilt. Some good studding with arched corner braces survives in the westernmost bay. Included for group value.
