Description
No 21 Market Place is a 18th-century, three-storey building constructed of red brick with a pantile roof. It features a wood modillion cornice, and the parapet is carried up at No 21. The first floor has seven sash windows with glazing bars, flush frames, and flat arches. There is an early 19th-century shop front that serves part of Nos 19 and 21, which includes pilasters and an entablature. The glazing bars date from the 19th century, except for the patterned fanlight. The entrance to No 21 has a five-panel door with a wood architrave. This building is part of a group with Nos 17 and 19, as well as the Butter Cross.
