Description
Glevering Bridge is a bridge over the River Deben, dated 1777 as indicated on the keystone of the main arch. It is constructed of red brick laid in English bond, with stone coping and some later cast iron reinforcing ties. The bridge features a single main arch flanked by smaller arches on either side, supported by brick piers at the ends and in the center of the parapet, which were likely originally topped with ornamental finials. Half of the bridge is located in the parish of Wickham Market.
