GV II

House. Early C19, heightened and refronted c1865: early C20 extensions at rear. Red brick with gault brick front; slate roof with brick stacks at left end and right of centre. EXTERIOR: 3-storey 3-window front. Enclosed square porch with shallow hipped roof projects at centre, with half-glazed door with leaded glazing and single leaded lights in returns. Above, canted bay window fitted with 0/0 and 2/2 unhorned sashes. Full-height canted bay window to right of porch and single-storey canted bay window to left, with similar sashes. Remainder of fenestration of 2/2 unhorned sashes. INTERIOR: ground floor room to left has one re-used early C17 bridging beam with sunk-quadrant mouldings. Staircase with newel posts formerly from 4-poster bed.
