Description
No. 20 Park Lane is a house built in the late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantiled roof with a shared brick stack at the left end.
The exterior has a two-storey, two-window front that sits on a moulded plinth, which is continuous with the adjacent properties, Nos 16 and 18. To the right, there is a six-panel door with glazed top panels, and to the left, there is one flush-framed eight-over-eight horned sash window. Both the door and the window are set under gauged skewback arches. On the first floor, there are two similar six-over-six sash windows that do not have gauged arches. The building is finished with a dentil eaves cornice.
The interior has not been inspected. Historically, the house is associated with James Magg, a diarist who lived from 1797 to 1890.
