Description
Honeysuckle Cottage, also known as No. 17, is a pair of houses located on Park Lane in Southwold. Built in the late 18th century, the cottage has undergone some alterations in the late 19th century. The structure is made of red brick and features a roof covered with black-glazed pantiles, topped with a central ridge stack.
The exterior of the cottage is two stories high, with each house displaying a two-window front. The doors are half-glazed and set in timber doorcases with plain architraves, positioned in the outer bays. For No. 17, there is one 8/8 unhorned sash window to the left of the door, which is set under a gauged skewback arch. On the first floor, there is one 8/8 unhorned sash and one 6/6 unhorned sash window. No. 19 features a two-storey bay window to the right of the door, fitted with horned sashes that do not have glazing bars, and the first-floor sash above the door is similar. The building is finished with a modillion brick eaves cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
