Description
Providence Cottage is a house dating from around 1800, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is built of red brick, which is painted at the front, and features a wrought-iron porch. The roof is covered with black-glazed pantiles and has chimneys located at the left end and to the left of the center.
The exterior has a two-storey front with three windows. To the right, there is a half-glazed door that is sheltered by a dentillated hood and set within a trellis porch designed with a Greek key pattern. On the left side, there are two fixed French doors that include top-hung opening lights, margin glazing, and external louvred shutters. The first floor features a 20th-century canted bay window on the left and two 8/8 unhorned sash windows with flush frames and exposed boxes on the right. The building is finished with a dentilled eaves cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
