Description
No. 7 South Green is a house dating from around 1800, with an extension added around 1820. It underwent alterations in the late 19th century and was renovated in 1994. The rear extension, which was formerly a bakery with ovens, was rebuilt in a replica style during the renovation. The building is constructed of red brick with a pebbledashed finish and has a roof made of black-glazed pantiles.
The exterior features a two-storey front with two windows. The original central entrance has been blocked, and the current entrance is located on the right side. The front displays two full-height canted bay windows, which are fitted with 0/0 and 2/2 horned sash windows. There is a plain eaves parapet along the top. On the right side, the gable wall rises to two storeys and an attic, with a single-storey extension to the right. The entrance door is located in the gable wall, and there is one sash window with 2/2 glazing bars on each floor above.
Inside, the ground floor features plain chamfered bridging beams. A winder staircase leads up to the attic. The roof structure includes principals, staggered butt purlins, and collars.
