Description
Brick Kiln Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with a single storey 19th century wing on the right side. The building is timber framed and plastered, with the left gable end rebuilt in colourwashed brick and a pantiled roof. It stands at two storeys and an attic, originally designed with a three-cell plan, although the right cell is now missing. The façade features three early 18th century mullion and transom casements with square leaded panes, and there is a lean-to porch with a 19th century half-glazed door on one side. A stack is located at the right gable end, and there are additional leaded windows at the rear. Inside, the farmhouse boasts good exposed framing and original newel stairs on both flights.
