Description
Low Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, featuring a three-cell plan. The façade includes a four-window range with various casements, including three 18th-century windows with square leaded panes on the first floor. There is a lobby entrance that has a 19th-century gabled brick porch, a five-panelled door, and a semi-circular fanlight. Inside, there is an internal stack with four hexagonal flues arranged in a sawtooth pattern and a moulded base, along with an external stack on the right-hand side. The left gable displays a pierced drop finial, which is in poor condition. Additionally, there is a single-storey brick wing on the right side of the farmhouse.
