Description
White House Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with a later wing added to the east. It is timber framed, mostly covered in plaster, and features a pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in a two-cell form. The windows are scattered and primarily consist of 19th and 20th century casements. On the south gable end, there is a colourwashed brick porch with a mid-20th century door. Inside, the layout has been altered, but some original features remain, including exposed framing and joists, as well as a 19th century staircase. It is possible that the main range of the farmhouse originally extended further to the north.
