Description

Manor House Farmhouse is a timber-framed and plastered farmhouse, dating to the 16th and 17th centuries. It comprises two distinct sections: the left-hand section built in two phases during the 16th century, and the right-hand section dating to the early 17th century. The roof is pantiled. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics. It has three windows in each section, with 19th and 20th-century mullion and transom casements. The right-hand section has a three-cell plan and a lobby entrance with a colourwashed brick porch and a half-glazed door. A mid-20th century open porch and plank door are located to the left. Internal stacks are present in each section, the one on the right retaining remnants of sawtooth flues. Some internal timber framing is exposed, primarily within the earlier section.
