Description
Pollards is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with the right-hand parlour cell likely being a later addition. To the right side, there is a small timber-framed building, probably used as a service unit, which was originally detached but is now connected to the main house by mid-20th century extensions. The structure features timber framing, modern panelled plasterwork, and a colourwashed brick casing on the left-hand gable, topped with a plaintiled roof. It has two storeys and attics, arranged in a three-cell plan. The façade includes three early 20th century small pane sash windows in flush frames, and there is a cross passage entrance with an early 20th century gabled porch that has a moulded four-centre arch with a hood mould above and a boarded door. Inside, there is an internal stack and notable exposed timbering. The ground floor has two blocked four-light moulded mullion windows, and there are attics at both ends of the house, each accessible by the original newel stairs.
