Description

Thatchers is a house that dates back to the 16th century or possibly earlier. It features a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a thatched roof. The building is single storey with an attic and has a three-cell layout with a cross passage entry. There are small casement windows, a gabled entrance porch, and three catslide dormers, all added in the mid-20th century. The house has an internal stack and an external stack on the left-hand gable end, and the roof is half-hipped on the right side. Inside, some framing and joists are exposed, but the interior has been significantly altered, with the roof structure mainly dating from the mid-20th century.
