Description

Lodge Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 16th to 17th century, with the cross wing likely being the older part. There is an 18th-century dairy wing on the left side. The building is timber framed and plastered, topped with a pantiled roof. It has two storeys and a now disused attic, featuring a main range with a short cross wing on the right side, arranged in a two-cell form. The windows are 19th-century casements with mullions and transoms, and the doorway has an early 19th-century two-panel door, sunk pilasters, and a shallow-gabled hood. Inside, there is some exposed framing, chamfered joists, and original floorboarding, along with newel stairs. The dairy and cheese loft remain largely unaltered.
