Description

Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building features a three-cell plan and has four windows, primarily consisting of 18th and 19th century casements. There is a cross passage entry that includes a half-glazed door and a broad gabled porch. Inside, there is an internal stack with moulded brickwork at both the base and the cap; the base has an empty rectangular panel. Additionally, there is a 19th century external stack on the right-hand gable end. A brick in the plinth of the left-hand gable is dated 1838 and bears the initials "J+M" and "D+F".
