Description
The barn at Spider Hall is a 17th-century threshing barn that has undergone later alterations. It is timber-framed, covered with weatherboarding, and has a thatched roof. The structure consists of six bays and features two midstreys on the west side, which have opposed double doors. Inside, there are studded walls, although some have been replaced later. The posts are designed with knees to support the tie beams, and the roof has clasped purlins. A brick threshing floor is present, and another may still exist but was concealed during the last survey. This barn is included for its group value.
