Description
Park View is a timber-framed and plastered house dating from the 16th to 17th centuries, with a cross wing at its northern end. The upper storey of the cross wing is jettied. The cross wing was re-fronted in the 20th century, though original exposed timber framing remains on its north side. The main block of the house was re-fronted in the 18th century using red brick, now colourwashed, and features a parapet and a modillion cornice on its south and east sides. This section has a three-bay facade with double-hung sash windows with glazing bars in shallow reveals. A modern rectangular bay window is present at ground floor level. The cross wing has 20th-century casement windows. The roof is tiled and hipped at the south end.
