Description

The Water Conduit is a 16th-century structure made of red brick, located 130 meters north of the entrance gate and lodges of Melford Hall. It has a square plan with octagonal corner buttresses topped with capped octagonal turrets. Each side features a truncated gable, while the north, south, and west sides have wide, blocked, 4-centred arched openings. The east side contains two arched openings, one of which is blocked. The upper part of the building was restored in the 19th century.
