Description
Falkland House and Jason House is a timber-framed and plastered building originating from the 16th century, with alterations made in later centuries and a refronting in the 18th century. The house has modern additions at the rear and stands two storeys high with attics. It features a three-window range with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The south end has two-light windows on the first storey and a three-light window on the ground storey. The north end boasts a two-storeyed canted bay. A central doorway is adorned with pilasters, a frieze, and a modillion cornice hood. The roof is covered with old tiles and includes three hipped dormers, each with double-hung sashes and glazing bars. Notably, the south end has a striking external chimney stack with three octagonal shafts that have spur caps and battlemented ornamentation at the top, while the north end features a later rebuilt hexagonal shafted stack.
