Description

Westgate Terrace is a terrace of early 19th century grey gault brick houses located on the north side of Westgate Street in Long Melford. The terrace consists of Nos 1 to 7, with No 7 at the east end featuring a pediment that includes a circular panel displaying the date 1830. The houses are three storeys tall, and Nos 1 and 2 have cellars. The terrace has a total of 16 windows, which are double-hung sashes with glazing bars set in plain reveals. The doors, which are either 5 or 6 panels, are topped with semi-circular fanlights that have radial glazing bars. The roofs are covered with slate.
