GV II

House of several builds, C16/C17 or earlier with later alterations and additions. C19 gault brick facade to timber framed and plastered house and crosswing. Red plain tiled roofs, hipped to left, hipped with gablet to right. Two gault brick chimney stacks to ridge, external red brick stacks to right and left returns, large external stack with 2 attached square shafts to rear right. House with crosswing to left, rear central gabled stair turret and a further range to rear right with roof hipped to right, gabled to left. 2 storeys, single storey extension to left return. 4 window range of mainly C19 casements with transoms, two ground floor angled bays with red tiled roofs. Two storey gault pilasters flank the 2-panel 2-light door and the window above, with bases, capitals and bands to frieze and flat canopy. Internally the frame is obscured by C20 decorations, but the ground cills, some side girts, the top plates and stop chamfered bridging joists are visible. No entry to right wing at time of re-survey.
