Description

This barn, located approximately 20 metres north west of Shelley Dairy, dates from the 18th to 19th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weatherboarded, featuring a half hipped grey slate roof. There is a red plain tiled gabled midstrey outshot on the south side, which faces east and has double doors to the west. The barn stands on a brick plinth and consists of seven bays. It has through bracing in the walls and hanging knees supporting the tie beams. The roof is supported by a side purlin ridge board. This barn is included for its group value.
