Description

The Old Bakehouse, located in the grounds of the Guildhall to the southwest, is likely from the 16th century or earlier. It is a single-storey, rectangular structure made of red brick, featuring several ovens at the north end and a repaired wall at the south end. The building has a tiled roof and includes a wood mullion louvred opening. Inside, there is a hewn roof tie and a timber-framed crosswall above a cambered beam. This bakehouse is part of a group of listed buildings in Church Walk.
