Description
Peaches Farm, Old Bakehouse is a detached kitchen or bakehouse dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from thinly coursed Cotswold stone rubble and features a Cotswold stone slate roof. The building has a single cell plan and includes a projecting semicircular oven. On the east side, there is one small window and an altered door in the gable end. The north gable has a chimney, as does the oven. Inside, there is an original open fireplace with a stone hood supported by cylindrical monoliths, along with a small flanking oven. A large beehive oven, added in the 19th century, is built on the outside of the wall. This structure is a remarkably complete example of its type.
