Description

The Sunday School and Meeting Hall, formerly known as the Congregational Day School, was opened in 1863. This building is constructed of yellow brick and features a five-day hall with cast iron central shafts and arched recessed windows that have radial glazing bars at the top. The overall design is generally symmetrical, with a single-storey range attached to the west and a two-storey residence added to the north-west. The hall includes end chimneys and an arched window on each side of the gable. It has slate roofs and two arched entrances, each with four-panel doors and fanlights that also feature glazing bars. There is a decorative band at the springing of the arches.
