Description
Holbecks is a large 18th-century timber-framed and plastered building with a slate hipped roof, which is set behind a parapet with a cornice. The main front faces north-east and there are additional wings to the south-west, suggesting it may have earlier origins. The building has two storeys and attics. The front features two two-storeyed splayed bays, each with a three-window range, and there is one window and a doorway between them. Most of the windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, while the ground storey front windows are French casements. A central glazed doorway is framed by an Ionic doorcase with plain columns and a modillion pediment. There are three dormers behind the parapet on both the north-east and south-east sides.
