Description
Bassetts House and the shop premises on Hall Street are a timber-framed and plastered building from the 18th century, which originally consisted of two tenements. The northern section is made of 19th-century brick and is colourwashed. The building has two storeys, with the southern part featuring two windows and the northern part having three windows, all fitted with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. The southern section contains a double-fronted shop from the 18th or early 19th century, also with glazing bars. The northern section has two small 19th-century bay windows, one of which has modern glazing, and a central doorway that is adorned with a Tuscan-style portico, featuring plain columns and a flat cornice hood. The roof is tiled.
