Description

The Swan Inn is a building from the 18th century with a brick front that has been painted, covering an earlier timber-framed and plastered structure. It stands two storeys high and features a parapet along with a brick modillion cornice. A raised band runs between the two storeys. The facade includes three double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, set in flush cased frames, while the ground floor windows are fitted with panelled shutters. The entrance is marked by a central six-panel door, which is framed by a doorcase that has a shouldered architrave, a decorated frieze, and a cornice with modillions and dentils. The roof is tiled and hipped behind the parapet.
