Description

LAVENHAM WATER STREET 1. 5377 (north side) Flats owned by Swan Hotel adjoining No 22 on the east TL 9149 50/666 II GV 2. Built in 1891 by W W Roper for the manufacture of horse hair bustles. (He also built Nos 15 to 20 Water Street probably for workers in the factory). A red brick building with a modern tiled roof, now converted into flats. There are stopped gables at the east and west ends. Two storeys. Seven window range of casements, now with leaded lights, segmental arched heads. Included for historical interest and group value.
