Description

The flats owned by the Swan Hotel, located adjacent to number 22 on the east side of Water Street, were built in 1891 by W W Roper for the manufacture of horse hair bustles. This red brick building features a modern tiled roof and has been converted into flats. It has stopped gables at both the east and west ends and stands two storeys tall. The building has a seven-window range of casements, which now include leaded lights and segmental arched heads. It is included in the heritage listing for its historical interest and group value.
