Description

Nos. 1 and 2 Weaver's Lane are probably early 19th century cottages that stand two storeys high and feature three windows. No. 1 is constructed of red brick, while No. 2 is made of flint with yellow brick dressings, including quoins. Both cottages have slate roofs and segmental headed near-flush-frame casement windows on the first floor. They were built by the Gainsborough family and back onto the garden of Gainsborough's House. Nos. 1 and 2 Weaver's Lane, along with Nos. 41 to 47 Gainsborough Street, form a cohesive group.
