Description

Treasure Chest is a house and shop located on Gainsborough Street, dating from 1692. The building is two storeys high, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with a slate roof. It features elements from the 18th and 19th centuries, including a two-window range with sash windows that have glazing bars. The ground floor has small double shop windows flanking a central door, with a separate entrance to the north. Treasure Chest is part of a group that includes Nos 9 to 15 and No 46.
