Description

44 and 45 Gainsborough Street are 19th-century buildings that stand two stories tall, featuring two and three windows respectively. They are constructed of yellow brick and topped with slate roofs. Number 44 has an ornamental tile band at the first floor, recessed sash windows with glazing bars, and an arched entrance with a six-panel door that has surmounted upper panels. Number 45 features gauged flat arches over recessed windows that do not have glazing bars, along with a six-panel door topped by an arched fanlight. These buildings are included for their group value, as they contribute to the architectural character of the area alongside Nos 41 to 47 and 1 and 2 Weaver's Lane.
